A body pulled from the waters of Lake Pontchartrain this week is that of a missing boater, the St. Tammany Parish Coroner's Office confirmed Friday.

Medical examiners identified the remains of 58-year-old Philippe G. Lannelongue, of Kenner.

The coroner has ruled Lannelongue's death to be an accidental drowning.

According to authorities, a witness says Lannelongue fell overboard after the sailboat he was on crashed into the Causeway bridge early Sunday morning.

The body was recovered Wednesday.
