A man in Bogalusa is under arrest after he chose to relax in a home that wasn’t his. In the nude.

A Washington Parish Sheriff’s Deputy “responded to a complaint on Reid Pigott Road concerning a suspicious man carrying a large stick who was walking in and out of a yard and then into adjacent woods,” WPSO said.

When the unidentified man could not be found, the deputy was tipped off to try a nearby residence.

Upon arrival, the deputy found the door unlocked and entered. That’s where he found 50-year-old Jessie Patterson of Bogalusa.

“Once inside the residence, he encountered a naked man sitting in a recliner,” WPSO said.

Patterson claimed he was renting the home, but the homeowner told police that was untrue.

The original concerned citizen also confirmed Patterson was the man roaming around the neighborhood.

Patterson has been charged with simple burglary, prohibited acts and resisting an officer. The charges are just the latest on a rap sheet that dates back to 2008 and includes domestic violence, criminal neglect of family and theft of a motor vehicle.

“Mr. Patterson was far too comfortable in another person’s residence,” Sheriff Randy Seal said of the case in a Facebook post.

Patterson remains in custody. Bond has been set at $25,000.
