U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy says he will not be making a run for Governor of Louisiana.
The senator made his decision known in a tweet this morning.
Both Cassidy and fellow senator John Kennedy expressed interest publicly in the top job in the state.
In his tweet, Cassidy stated he is working on legislation critical for the future of the state of Louisiana and the nation. He says he must stay at his job as senator to see that they pass the Senate.
