A deep crater of a sinkhole was discovered at the I-10 exit 231A to City Park Ave. / Metairie Rd. exit ramp.
“A portion of the ramp at Exit 231A from Interstate 10 eastbound to City Park Avenue/Metairie Road is closed due to a sinkhole. At this time, drivers are able to still able to use the exit,” DOTD officials said in a tweet.
Crews were on the scene Friday morning, in the rain, repairing the dangerously deep sinkhole. The exit remains closed.
