
New Orleans Police Department is investigating a Homicide that left a 30-year-old man dead. The offense occurred shortly after 9:00 P.M., on Interstate 10 near the Chef Menteur Highway exit.
According to NOPD the victim was driving down the Interstate when his vehicle began taking on gunshots.
According to investigators, Seventh District officers responded to a call of a shooting and upon their arrival, officers learned the victim sustained a gunshot wound to his body and was transported to a local hospital via private conveyance. The victim died a short time later.
Detectives are in the process of gathering information to identify the person(s) responsible for the Homicide and a motive.
