Four days after their escape, all four inmates who broke out of the New Orleans juvenile lock up are back in custody.
"The City of New Orleans today announced the return of the fourth and final youth Juvenile Justice Intervention Center (JJIC) escapee," authorities said in a news release.
The last suspect was apprehended Sunday after he gave himself up to police.
"Quentin Washington (15) turned himself in with his attorney present, as of 1:30pm."
It was Wednesday that the City’s Juvenile detention center reported that four detainees escaped.
Investigators say they got away from the facility using an access card stolen during a fight with a guard.
"The breech of protocol that involved human error remains under investigation."
The escapees allegedly carjacked a victim near the detention center after their initial escape.
Several agencies teamed up to track down all of the escapees.
