Cops say four drivers had their vehicles stolen at gunpoint overnight and early this morning in New Orleans.

Those carjackings have a number of similarities. According to the NOPD's major offense report, those carjackings happened within six-and-a-half hours of each other in four different parts of the city. In each case, two Black males stole high-end white-colored SUVs from model year 2019.

It started at 12:14am in the 3400 block of Esplanade Ave.

"Victim in parking lot sitting in his vehicle when suspects approached and demanded victim to exit vehicle. Victim complied. Suspects fled in victim’s white 2019 Jeep Cherokee," according to an initial police report.

NOPD only described the suspects as "two unknown black males."

About an hour and a half later, a man and woman in their SUV were carjacked near the intersection of Tchoupitoulas St. and Bordeaux St.

"Suspects approached, opened rear door and demanded Victim 2’s cell phone."

The police say the man got out of the car and ran away, leaving the woman with the gunmen.

"Suspect ordered Victim #1 exit vehicle at gunpoint. Victim complied. Suspects fled in Victim #1’s white 2019 Mercedes GLC."

The suspects were described as "two unknown black males."

Then about four hours later, just after 5:30am, there was another carjacking.  This one happened in the French Quarter, in the 1000 block of North Peters St.

A man and woman were in their luxury SUV.

"Suspects exited vehicle, approached victims and ordered them out at gunpoint. Suspects fled in suspect vehicle and in victims’ 2019 white Lexus RX 350."

The suspect are described as "two unknown black males."

Then, at 6:33am, there was another carjacking. This one was just off Tulane Avenue in the 700 block of South Cortez St. A woman was sitting in her SUV.

"Victim parked when two subjects tapped on window with pistol, pulled her out of vehicle and fled in victim’s white 2019 Infiniti QX30."

Once again, the suspects were described as "two unknown black males."

The NOPD released photos of the suspects involved in the first carjacking. Officials have not said of the suspects in the first case--or in any of the other cases--are connected to the others.
