It’s shaping up to be an ideal weekend to get out and enjoy everything New Orleans and the region have to offer.
With sunny skies, mild temperatures, and a lineup of local festivals and fairs, Kelly Schulz with New Orleans & Company says there’s something for everyone.
“We’ve got everything from NOLA Funk Fest to Praise on the Bayou, plus neighborhood festivals and pumpkin patches that really bring that community feel."
She says fall weekends like this show off the city’s best including great food, great music, and a mix of local and visitor energy that keeps the spirit of New Orleans alive well beyond Mardi Gras season.
“There are a number of conventions in town this weekend, and visitors are excited to get out, explore, and experience what locals love most about our city.”
There are great celebrations all over the area too... from the Wooden Boat Fest in Madisonville to the Rougarou Festival in Houma and from the Washington Parish Free Fair to the Andouille Festival in Laplace.
Halloween and October events on both sides of the lake are also happening.
From family outings to festival hopping, the calendar is packed with ways to soak up the season and with the weather cooperating, there’s no better time to do it.
