A Gentilly resident is accused of calling 911 and threatening to shoot New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell if his trash didn't get picked up, the Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate reports.
According to the report, police say 59-year-old Daniel P. Jenkins called 911 Sunday afternoon from a New York phone number and told the operator he would go to Cantrell's office on Monday and shoot her if he could not get his garbage picked up, or at least find someone who could answer some questions.
The police soon arrived at Jenkins' home in the 1300 block of Jay St. to take him into custody. Authorities booked Jenkins on one count of terrorizing.
