Louisiana State Police and the New Orleans Police Department are searching for an eight-year-old girl whom they say was kidnapped by her mother.
Troopers have issued a Level II Endangered/Missing Child Advisory for Alessandra Leonor Bruno. Troopers say she suffers from a medical condition and her mother does not have the medicines she needs to treat that condition.
According to state police, Alessandra's mother, Alejandra Gutierrez, took her from the Rock-N-Sake Sushi Bar on Fulton Street around 7 p.m. on Wednesday night. Alessandra stands four-feet, two-inches tall and weighs 45 pounds. She was last seen wearing a white flowered shirt and black shorts. Gutierrez is believed to be driving a Lexus RX 350 with Louisiana license plate 527 GTG.
Investigators say Gutierrez is a non-custodial parent and has kidnapped Alessandra before. Troopers also say Gutierrez may also have her other daughter, Sofia, with her. However, troopers did not say if Gutierrez is Sofia's custodial parent.
