A Louisiana man was arrested in Florida after a traffic stop resulted in a wild discovery in the back of his truck.

Wildlife, that is.

Jairo Ramirez Caballero was arrested in Milton, Fla., after he was discovered to be transporting 13 iguanas in the back of his truck.

The iguanas’ limbs had all been duct-taped to their bodies, according to police, and one of them was dead and lying in its own waste.

Iguanas are considered an invasive species in the state of Florida, with a bounty placed on the animals in 2019.

Ramirez Caballero was charged with one felony count of torture of an animal/inflicting pain, injury, or death and two counts of violating Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission regulations, along with traffic citations.
