A man is dead after he apparently fought a carjacker in the French Quarter last night.
NOPD says it happened shortly after 8:30pm in the 300 block of Burgundy, near Bienville.
Investigators say during the carjacking attempt, the 61-year-old victim struggled with the suspect and ended up pinned underneath his own vehicle.
The man died at the hospital.
There is no word on any suspects.
