The New Orleans Police Department says a man was shot in the leg on Bourbon Street Early Friday morning.

Police report it happened a little before 1:30 a.m. in the 500 block of Bourbon between near St. Louis Street.
Paramedics took the male victim to the hospital. His condition is unknown at this time as investigators continue to gather evidence in search of a suspect.
