The mother accused of stabbing one of stabbing her children has been formally booked on murder charges.
Jenee Pedesclaux, 31, was booked into the Orleans Parish Prison on one count of second-degree murder, one count of attempted second-degree murder, and two counts of second-degree cruelty to juveniles according to jail records.
Pedesclaux allegedly stabbed her two-year-old son, Jaceon Roberts, and her four-year-old daughter, Paris Roberts at their Law Street home Sunday morning.
The young girl died from her stab wounds while the boy is in critical condition at the hospital.
Pedesclaux confessed to the stabbings in a video posted to social media. That video has since been deleted. Reports say she was in a custody battle with the children’s father leading up to the stabbings.
