New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the 3500 block of Bienville Street.
Police say shortly before 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, officers were sent to investigate a call of a man shot in that location.
"Initial reports show a black male was found at the scene suffering from at least one gunshot wound," said police in a statement. "EMS pronounced him deceased on scene."

Callers to Crimestoppers do not have to leave their names and may be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
