New Orleans Police arrested six people and seized their four wheelers and dirt bikes after officers found them driving "illegally and recklessly" on North Claiborne Avenue, the department says.
Cops also confiscated three handguns.
"During a patrol on Sunday December 17, 2023 around 4:00 p.m., First District detectives noticed several subjects on four wheelers and dirt bikes driving illegally and recklessly in the 1200 block of North Claiborne Avenue," according to police.
"The detectives stopped six drivers, including one juvenile, and subsequently charged them with illegally operating unregistered vehicles on public roads," police said.
Three suspects were charged with illegally carrying firearms.
