The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office says a pedestrian died after being struck while jogging Monday morning in the Money Hill subdivision.
"Deputies with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Traffic Division were dispatched to Money Hill Parkway shortly before 8:30 a.m. Monday in reference to a Chevrolet Silverado which had struck a pedestrian," said sheriff's office spokesperson Lt. Suzanne Carboni.
Carboni said the pedestrian was taken to local hospital, where he died a short time later.
The St. Tammany coroner's office will conduct an autopsy and identify the victim.
The crash remains under investigation.
