Residents in Terrytown and Algiers are without power Thursday after a vehicle crash took out some power lines just before 8:00 a.m. on General DeGaulle Drive at MacArthur Boulevard. Entergy crews are still working to repair the damaged power lines from that vehicle crash.
According to Entergy’s outage map, 3,264 customers are without power in Terrytown and more than 2,100 residents and businesses are in the dark in Algiers.
This comes as residents on the westbank got power restored on Saturday after Hurricane Zeta knocked power out for days across southwest Louisiana.
Many people who had their power knocked out during the storm are still without power.
Entergy is reporting 8,336 customers without power in Jefferson Parish, including those impacted by the current outage due to the vehicle crash.
As of Thursday afternoon, Entergy reports there are 18,243 customers still without power across southeast and southwest Louisiana due to the ongoing recovery from Hurricane Zeta.
