The record heat is out and the rain is in the forecast this week. A disturbance develops in the Gulf near Texas.

“The closest spot to watch is the northwestern Gulf where there's a low-end chance for development this week. This is where some low pressure may try to organize along a lingering front in the northern Gulf. This shouldn't be a major issue for southeast Louisiana - we're not expecting any impacts aside from rain with the overall system. It will also bring rain to the Texas coast where it will move inland by Wednesday or Thursday,” says WWLTV Meteorologist Payton Malone.
