Workers at Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers are about to get a raise.
The fast-food franchise with its roots in Louisiana will hike its average hourly wage to $19.50, the company’s co-CEO and COO A.J. Kumaran told Yahoo Finance.
The pay bump for workers is part of a $9 million investment in the company’s workforce, Kumaran said.
“Once you take care of people, the business will pay for itself,” he added, saying it is the company’s philosophy to treat its workers well.
Over 100 new Raising Cane’s locations worldwide are expected to open in 2023, which would bring the total number of Raising Cane’s restaurants globally to 1,500.
