A road rage incident on the I-10 East near Clearview results in a woman being shot by the enraged driver.

It happened in the 11 o’clock hour when a woman was driving on the interstate when traffic was stopping in front of her. She says she slammed on her brakes, the driver behind her swerved into the wall, pulled out a gun and opened fire. A bullet grazed her forehead and blew the sunglasses off her face.

“I was heading towards New Orleans and I ran into some traffic and I made the other driver very angry, I guess and he shot at me.”

Stephanie tells WWL TV she changed lanes and put on her brakes.

“The person that shot at me was going really fast and was trying to change all three lanes and they almost clipped me when I put my brakes on.”

The driver then opened fire on the woman as he sped by her.

The driver’s side window was shot out and a pair of sunglasses she was wearing were shot off her face.

She got off the interstate and came to a stop at the Tick Tock Café, where she called police.

The suspect’s car is described as a dark Mercedes Sedan with some damage from hitting the wall.
