
A New Orleans native will serve as the new head of Louisiana State Police.
On Wednesday, Governor-elect Jeff Landry announced that he has selected Robert Hodges to become the next superintendent of Louisiana State Police. Hodges's appointment will become official on January 8 after Landry takes his oath of office.
A 28-year veteran of Louisiana State Police, Hodges rose through the ranks to become the Region 2 Patrol Major. Hodges is also a former intelligence officer in the Louisiana Army National Guard Reserve.
Landry also appointed the following state troopers to other administrative positions within Louisiana State Police:
Major Frank Besson, Assistant Superintendent/Chief of Staff
Lieutenant Colonel Jody Hasselbeck, Deputy Superintendent of Patrol (reappointment)
Major Cardell Williams, Deputy Superintendent of Support and Training
Lieutenant Colonel Treone Lavardain, Deputy Superintendent of the State Police Bureau of Investigations (reappointment)
Lieutenant Colonel Greg Graphia, Deputy Superintendent/Chief Administrative Officer (reappointment)
