Teens in gruesome alleged carjacking to be tried as adults

The four teenagers who were charged in a carjacking that resulted in the gruesome death of an elderly woman in late March will be tried as adults following a grand jury indictment.

73-year-old Linda Frickey was allegedly forced out of her vehicle by the four teens and dragged behind it as they drove off until her arm separated from her body. The March 21st incident happened in Mid City on Bienville Street in the middle of the day.

The four teens are one 17-year-old boy, one 16-year-old girl, and two 15-year-old girls. The adult Second Degree Murder charge carries a possible life sentence with the possibility of parole.
