Police in Thibodaux are investigating a shooting at a local business on Canal Boulevard near the intersection with Plantation Road.
One person was shot during the confrontation that took place just before 5:30 in the afternoon.
The identity of that person has not been released.
The incident remains under investigation and more information will be released as the case progresses.
The victim was helicoptered to an out-of-area hospital.
The condition of the victim remains unknown.
