After jumping on stage with Lizzo, Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb of “Today” caught up with WWL’s Scoot about their experience at New Orleans’ Jazz and Heritage Festival.

“It’s electrifying, but it’s also laid back,” said Kotb said of the long-running festival.

“Like, you can’t believe you can have two things that are so opposite together at the same time. But you can – and it awakens all of your senses,” she added. “If you feel like you've been beaten down by work and life, if you step through the gates of Jazz Fest.”

“Also, the food, the people. I mean, obviously the music, it goes unsaid,” said Bush Hager. “But like, I think Hoda is right. It’s like… I’ve been to a couple music fests in my life. There isn’t another one where you can just, like, go in in your mini shorts and expose your legs and dance and be and roll with it.”

That last bit was a play on an article about the TV show host’s dancing up on the stage with Lizzo.

“That was one of the news articles!” Scoot told them.

Scoot also gets deep with Kotb and Bush Hager about why they’re such a good on air-team, and more. Check out their full conversation here.
