Two juvenile girls were shot in a rural part of New Orleans East not far from historic Fort Macomb near Bayou Sauvage.
According to NOPD, the shooting happened at about 5:30 a.m. Thursday morning at the intersection of Marques Road and Chef Menteur Highway between Venetian Isles and The Rigolets.
NOPD says officers arrived and discovered the two female victims with gunshot wounds. They were being transported by EMS to a local hospital for treatment.
