The Swiftie invasion takes over this weekend and the influx of Taylor Swift fans brings with it enough economic power to transform a city.

Diego Bufquin, Director of Hospitality at Tulane’s Freeman School of Business, says each attendee to the concert can be translated into real dollars spent in the New Orleans.

"It would be about $1500 per person spent on hotel, food, merchandise."

The next number to pay attention to is how many people would attend the concert.

"We're looking at about 220,000 people over the three concerts."

But first, fans will need tickets. Floor seats on the resale market are going for as high as ten thousand dollars.

What's even more interesting is that not many other solo acts can brag this type of power.

"The numbers she's bringing we can compare to the Super Bowl."

The Taylor Swift Eras tour kicks off Friday October 25th.
