New Orleans Police say a woman is facing charges today after a carjacking.
The victim was along Bayou St. John near the New Orleans City Park North Golf Course.
"Suspect... approached victim’s vehicle, produced handgun and demanded victim’s vehicle. Victim complied," according to an initial police report.
It happened around 10:15am Wednesday in the 5400 block of Wisner Blvd.
"Suspect... fled in victim’s vehicle. Victim’s vehicle located in Fifth District. Suspect arrested."
The alleged carjacker is identified as 32-year-old "Jnea Perkins, black female."
