Days after Raising Cane's founder Todd Graves bought a record round of Jell-O shots on behalf of LSU fans at an Omaha pizza place, a Louisiana attorney has stepped up and broken that individual record.
Gordon McKernan plunked down $44,440 for 8,888 Jell-O shots at Rocco's Pizza in Omaha as part of the restaurant's annual College World Series Jell-O shot challenge. Portions of the proceed go to Heartland Food Bank and food banks of all eight College World Series participants.
Headed into the decisive third game of the 2023 College World Series, LSU's total on Rocco's leaderboard is a mind-boggling 57,387. Even without McKernan's and Graves' purchases, LSU fans would have easily beat last year's record of 18,777, set by fans of Ole Miss.
