A 4-year-old was found dead Saturday morning at the Laketown Wharf Resort in Panama City, Fla. The child fell from a third-floor balcony.
The child’s body was discovered by another guest at the hotel while on their way to the resort’s gym around 7 a.m., according to Panama City Beach Police.

Police determined that the child must have fallen from the balcony around 4:30 a.m., according to WJHG. PCBPD said the child, whose identity was not revealed, did not survive the fall.
Authorities did say the child belonged to a family visiting from Georgia.
So far, no charges have been filed, but police did not say whether an arrest might be a possibility in the future.
