Detectives in Louisiana are investigating the death of a 24-year-old woman whose body was found on Jan. 28 in a plastic container in a truck, according to authorities.

Ascension Parish Sheriff Bobby Webre gave an update on the case on Tuesday and said that the woman has been identified as Crystal Scott.

Scott was found dead around 5 p.m. inside of a plastic storage bin in a pickup truck at a property on Rue De Le Bois Road in the city of Gonzales, LA. It's unclear how long her body was in the container before authorities found her.

Webre said Scott's body showed no signs of trauma.

"Tragic. No one deserves to die like this," Webre said. "The fact is somebody moved her there, somebody put her there."

Detectives are now seeking three persons of interest to learn what happened to Scott. They have been identified as Sedrick Credit, Ashley Nicole Simoneaux and Ladarrius Alverez.

"The detectives are not leaving any stone unturned … it’s just a matter of finding video evidence, forensic evidence and more people of interest in this case," Webre said.

This is an ongoing investigation and an autopsy on Scott's body will be conducted.
