According to a new survey, Gen Z is outspoken about the annoying habits of Baby Boomers in the workplace, including making unnecessary phone calls and asking questions verbally that could easily be answered by a Google search.

Gen Z, or Zoomers,  were born from 1997 to today and they are the newest generation to enter the workplace.  With so many physical and philosophical differences between Zoomers and Boomers - it should be no surprise that there is tension in the workplace.

In the survey by news.com.au - Zoomers complained about Boomers using outdated language, pushing for everyone to be back in the office, wasting paper, and calling meetings that really are unnecessary.  Being power hungry and obsessed with job titles were also Boomer habits that bothered Zoomers.

Ian Hoch, an elder Millennial, offered his problem with Boomers:  leaving messages on voicemail.  And he's right.  If you call someone and they don't answer, just send a text, but don't leave a voicemail message.  Too many people - including myself - a Boomer - don't want to take time to retrieve voicemail messages.  So just send a text.

During the conversation on the show - some Boomers had a few complaints about Zoomers and Millennials, like that they are not loyal to their employers and they lack the focused work ethic of the Boomer generation.

There are exceptions - many Boomers are lazy and feel entitled to things and many Gen Zers and Millennials do have a laser-focused work ethic and a strong drive to reach goals.

If you're a Boomer - do you defend your generation from the criticism of younger generations or do you own it and admit you are guilty of those bad habits?  If you're a Zoomer, Millennial, or even a Gen Xer - do you accept the criticism of Boomers?
