State and local police departments are on alert after an FBI warning that Trump supporters are planning to hold “armed protests” at all 50 state capitols, as well as Washington, D.C.

An FBI bulletin advises police in all 50 states to increase security at state capitols following last week's attempted uprising at the U.S. Capitol.

Lt. Nick Manale with Louisiana State Police says they have seen the bulletin.

"Louisiana State Police is aware of the planned protests at the state capitol this weekend," said Manale. "We work closely with our federal, state, and local law enforcement partners to coordinate security protocols."

Manale says they are prepared to protect both capitol grounds and demonstrator's rights.

"We're going to work closely with our capitol staff, our Department of Public Safety police, and all of our local partners to make sure we have a safe environment for our citizens and also protect the rights of our citizens to hold a peaceful gathering," Manale said.

But the FBI warns they know of at least one "armed group" threatening a "large uprising" if President Trump is removed from office before his term expires January 20.
