Hurricane Ida has degraded to a Category 2 storm with top winds of 110 miles per hour.
At 9 p.m., the storm was 30 miles west-northwest of New Orleans, moving northwest at nine miles per hour.
Within the last hour, New Orleans International Airport reported sustained wind of 64 miles per hour with gusts as high as 86 mph.
