How the husband-and-wife duo of Johnnyswim mix marriage and music

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- With their new album "Moonlight" dropping in just a few weeks, Johnnyswim swung by the 1010 WINS studios to give us a preview of their new music.

The husband and wife duo of Amanda Sudano and Abner Ramirez also gave us the back story on their process of putting it all together, including the details of choosing what song to end the album with.

"When we wrote "Same Old Thing," as soon as we got done writing the song the first thing I said was, we can not let this be the last song on the album," Ramirez said.

"And I said, oh, it's going to be the last song," Sudano playfully shot back.

So who ultimately won the disagreement?

"We compromised," Ramirez said. " I did what she said. That's how you get to ten years happily. If she wants A, and I want B, you don't do C, you just do A."

Ten years is a reference to their decade long marriage which has served as the backbone for their three albums, including their new album, "Moonlight".

The 12-track project was produced by Malay, and features Michael McDonald, and Luna, their 1-year old daughter.

"There's actually song where you just barely hear her screaming in it," Sudano said. "I was in the studio with her as like a tiny little newborn, and so it's always going to be a little extra special."

While Luna may not be performing with her parents on tour this year, you can catch them at Webster Hall in New York on May 21, and at Brooklyn Steel on May 22.

"Moonlight" drops April 19.
