3 people injured during shooting on New Jersey street

PATERSON, N.J. (1010 WINS) — Three people were wounded in a shooting on a street in Paterson Monday afternoon, officials said.

At around 3 p.m., Paterson police officers were called to a report of a shooting near 10th Avenue and East 26th Street, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office.


Responding officers found a two men at the location, age 39 and 63, who had suffered gunshot wounds.

Officials then discovered a third victim, a 40-year-old woman who had also been injured.

All three victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment where according to authorities, one remains in critical condition.

It was not made clear which victim was listed in critical condition.

The investigation remains ongoing, officials said.

There have been no arrests made.
