NJ teen brothers charged after being caught dumping body in Pennsylvania woods: officials

SOMERSET, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- Two New Jersey brothers were charged with killing a man who was found stabbed to death early Thursday and attempting to dump the body in a wooded area in Pennsylvania, District Attorney Matt Weintraub announced.

Anthony Joel Gamble, 19, and Joshua David Gamble, 17, are charged with criminal homicide, criminal conspiracy, possession of an instrument of crime, and tampering with evidence, according to officials.

Joshua Gamble is a minor being charged as an adult Weintraub said in a news conference Thursday afternoon.

The brothers are accused of killing 26-year-old Kevin Rosero who was found fatally stabbed in a wooded on East Pumping Station Road.

According to authorities, a Pennsylvania State Trooper found the brothers and the man's body around midnight Thursday after spotting what appeared to be a disabled vehicle with its blinkers activated in the area of East Pumping Station Road in Richland Township, just outside of Quakertown.

The vehicle was described as a silver Subaru with New Jersey registration plates. The trooper then saw a second vehicle, an Audi A5 with Florida plates, parked 100 feet from the Subaru, Weintraub said.

While walking towards the Audi, the state trooper saw a man lying on the ground in a nearby wooded area.

The trooper identified himself but got no response, officials added.

The man was detained and later identified as Joshua Gamble.

Gamble had blood on the top part of his shoes and was wearing a plastic-coated work glove on his left hand, officials said.

A similar right-handed glove was found where he had been lying on ground.

Joshua was also in possession of a Subaru key fob, which was stained with what appeared to be blood, according to authorities.

While detaining Joshua Gamble, troopers heard what sounded like a man running through the woods near them.

A man later identified as Anthony Gamble appeared and ran toward the Subaru but was ordered by troopers to stop.

Anthony was detained and found to also have blood on his shoes and shirtsleeve. Two work-type, coated gloves were found in his pants pockets.

Police located a substantial amount of blood inside the Audi as the investigation continued, and requested backup.

Police entered the woods and found the body of Rosero, a short distance away from where Joshua Gamble had been lying and where the Audi was parked.

Rosero appeared to have stab wounds on his head, neck, upper chest, and arm.

Troopers discovered a large knife with blood on the blade and its wooden handle on the passenger floor of the Audi.

Weintraub said the brothers have no apparent connection to the area and did not comment on if or how the brothers knew the victim or what may have led to Rosero's death.

"The Gamble brothers have no apparent connection to this area, being Richland," Weintraub said. "Obviously this case is ongoing, I can't predict the future, I don't know what other facts will be revealed to us, but as of right now, we are unable to discern any reason for them to be in Bucks County, in Richland Township."
