WATERBURY, CT (1010 WINS) -- A Connecticut police officer was shot and injured during a grand theft auto investigation on Monday, authorities said.
The Waterbury Police Department officer was shot on Marley Place around 2:20 p.m., the department said in a press release.
The officer was taken to Saint Mary's Hospital in stable condition, the release said.
The shooting happened during a stolen motor vehicle investigation, the department said, without providing additional details.
