SOUTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. (1010 WINS) — Fire officials caught a baby thrown from the window of a burning apartment building in New Jersey on Monday morning, authorities said.
The three-alarm blaze erupted just after 8 a.m. at the South Ridge Apartments in South Brunswick Township.

Sergeant William Merkler, Patrolman First Class Ryan Bartunek, Detective Sergeant John Penney, and Fire Chief Chris Perez ran below the window where the man threw a child out and firefighters caught the child.
"Police and firefighters catch baby thrown from second floor by Dad escaping the fire," the South Brunswick Police Department wrote on Twitter.
Seconds later, the father also jumped headfirst from the second-floor window and was caught by officers.
Both the child and father only suffered minor injuries.
The fire was placed under control by 11 a.m.
Four people suffered minor injuries, with one person being transported to the hospital, officials added.
Firefighters along with Sout Brunswick Fire Prevention are investigating the cause of the fire.
The American Red Cross remains on the scene helping the nearly 50 people displaced by the blaze.
