NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A driver hit two pedestrians as they were crossing a Queens boulevard on Monday, killing one of them, the NYPD said.
The two men, both 46, were crossing Woodhaven Boulevard east at Rockaway Boulevard in Ozone Park around 12:30 a.m. on Monday when a driver in a Honda Accord traveling north on Woodhaven Boulevard hit them, police said.
Both men were taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where one of the men, Brooklyn resident Marcelo Pelaez, was pronounced dead, the NYPD said.
It wasn't immediately clear what condition the second man was in.
The 30-year-old Honda Accord driver stayed at the scene and hadn't been charged as of Monday evening, police said. An investigation is ongoing.
