Bullet grazes Amazon driver's face as gunman shoots at him in Brooklyn: cops
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A bullet grazed an Amazon delivery driver's face after a gunman shot at him during a dispute in Brooklyn on Monday, the NYPD said.
The 22-year-old driver was inside his vehicle at the intersection of Dekalb and Wyckoff avenues in Bushwick around 11:20 a.m. on Monday when he got into an argument with the gunman, who was on the street, police said.
At some point during the dispute, the gunman pulled out his weapon and shot through the window of the vehicle, the NYPD said.
The bullet grazed the driver's face, police said. He was taken to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, where he was expected to survive, according to police.
The gunman fled the scene and hadn't been arrested as of Monday afternoon, the NYPD said. An investigation is ongoing.
In a statement provided to 1010 WINS, an Amazon spokesperson called the shooting a "terrible incident," adding that the company's "thoughts are with the driver."
"We are working with the delivery service partner and law enforcement as they investigate," the spokesperson said.
