NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a car thief they said fled the scene after crashing then flipping a stolen vehicle in the Bronx Tuesday morning.
According to officials, the incident began at around 8 a.m. at White Plains Road and East 233rd Street in the Wakefield section.
Officials said the suspect stole the car then drove off before he crashed into a parked car at Carpenter Avenue and East 230th Street.
The car thief then fled the scene in an unknown direction.
No injuries were reported and an investigation remains ongoing.
