NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A woman in a brightly colored costume interrupted New York City Democratic mayoral nominee Eric Adams during one of his final campaign stops before Tuesday's election.
It was just seconds into Adams' speech at an Upper East Side get-out-the-vote rally Sunday when the protester, carrying a microphone, interrupted former NYPD captain peppering him with questions about his record.

"Eric, are you a dirty cop?" the woman asked. "What are you going to do about the NYPD?"
Surrounded by Manhattan District Attorney nominee Alvin Bragg, other figures and supporters, the Brooklyn Borough President kept speaking as the woman — decked out in a short yellow skirt and knee-high rainbow socks — approached him at the podium with a cameraman in suit.
Adams quickly called the interruption a "distraction" as she was carried away by security to the cheers by the crowd.
"Stay focus, stay disciplined, and drive," he repeated as supporters joined in.
"That's what the 'Trumpites' do," Adams said. "They try to get you distracted but we're focused."
