NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A father and his 6-year-old son died when a fire ripped through a Queens house early Monday, authorities said.

At 1:13 a.m., police and FDNY personnel responded to a 911 call of a residential fire on the first floor of a private two-story residence located at 45-54 157 Street in the East Flushing neighborhood.

Officials discovered the 65-year-old Stephen Blumling and his son Shawn Blumling inside the location, unconscious and unresponsive.

EMS pronounced both the victims dead at the scene.

Additionally, the boy's twin brother was rushed to NYC Health & Hospitals/Jacobi, with burns to his body. He is listed in stable condition, according to police.

Two firefighters were also transported to an area hospital with minor injuries FDNY officials said.

About 60 firefighters from 12 units responded to battle the flames, which was placed under control just before 2:30 a.m., fire officials said.
