NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Mayor Bill de Blasio shot hoops with a group of teenagers at an event in the Bronx on Wednesday, but only made one-third of his shots, according to a report.
The mayor, who stands at 6-foot-5, took 15 shots as he stood near the 3-point line at an anti-violence basketball tournament at Belmont Playground, but only five went through the hoop, the New York Post reported.
A video published by the Post showed three of de Blasio's misses. New York City's official Twitter account, however, posted a clip of one of his successful shots.
"There's a reason why there's a #1 on his back," the account tweeted. The mayor shared that clip on his own Twitter page.
".@NBCOlympics, call me," he wrote.
