Adams may live part-time at Gracie Mansion, part-time in Brooklyn if elected
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Democratic mayoral nominee Eric Adams may live part-time at Gracie Mansion and part-time in Brooklyn if he wins the race, he said Monday.
In an interview with Adams on Monday, WNYC's Brian Lehrer asked the Brooklyn borough president if he had considered where he would live if he gets elected.
"Are you going to live in Gracie Mansion? Apparently not every mayor in history did," Lehrer said.
"I love Brooklyn," Adams responded. "And so it may be a combination of Gracie Mansion and my place in Brooklyn, in Bedford-Stuyvesant."
The decision, however, will be a post-election one, said Adams, who faces a challenge from Republican mayoral nominee Curtis Sliwa.
"And so first we need to win," he said. "And then when we win we'll decide what the proper address will be."
