VIDEO: Ex-Yankee Johnny Damon, wife scuffle with police during DUI arrest
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Former Yankees and Red Sox outfielder Johnny Damon and his wife got into a scuffle with police officers as he was being arrested for driving under the influence last month, newly-released body camera footage shows.
Damon was arrested and charged with DUI on Feb. 19 after police in Florida pulled him over for swerving as he drove.
Body camera footage released on Tuesday shows Damon and his wife, Michelle Mangan-Damon, struggling with an officer, the New York Post reported.
"Don't touch me," Mangan-Damon says to the officer after refusing to stay in the car.
At some point during the altercation, the officer tells Damon to stop "trying to pull away from me."
Damon's blood alcohol level was "nearly four times" Florida's limit of .08 when he was arrested, the outlet reported.
As he was being arrested, Damon said he was a supporter of the pro-police "Blue Lives Matter" movement.
"What are you doing right now? We are all for cops," he said, according to the outlet. "Hey, bro, I'm a good guy, and I know people are trying to target me because I'm a Trump supporter."
