Man, 22, crashes car after driver shoots him on Brooklyn parkway: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 22-year-old man crashed his car into two parked vehicles after another driver shot him on a Brooklyn parkway Friday afternoon, the NYPD said.

The 22-year-old was leaving the Belt Parkway at Exit 13 in Canarsie around 1:30 p.m. on Friday when another driver shot him once in the back, police said.

The 22-year-old managed to keep driving until he reached a Starrett City building on Pennsylvania Avenue, near the Geneva Loop, at which point he crashed his car into two parked vehicles, the NYPD said.

The man was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center for treatment, police said. He was expected to survive.

The driver who shot him hadn't been arrested as of Friday evening, the NYPD said. An investigation is ongoing.
