Man walks into Manhattan precinct, threatens police with knife: report

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police arrested a man on Sunday they said walked into a precinct in Manhattan and threatened officers with a knife, according to a report from the Daily News.

Kerry Young Baxter, 25, walked into the 7th Precinct stationhouse on the Lower East Side about 5 p.m. on April 5, to ask about a warrant out against him and quickly got angry when he was told he had no outstanding warrants, the report said.

"I got a knife!" he allegedly said as he pulled out a kitchen knife from his left pocket and threatened several officers inside the stationhouse on Pitt Street.

When he got arrested, Young Baxter, said he would return and do it again if he's not convicted.

"If I don't go to prison I'll come back and do the same s--t," he said.

Officers drew their guns and tasers and were able to subdue and take Young Baxter into custody.

He was charged with menacing a police officer and weapons possession.

Young Baxter has 14 previous arrests, including one for weapon possession, the report added.
