NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Mayor Bill de Blasio on Monday announced that several NYC vaccination centers will be placed on hold as the city has yet to receive additional vaccine supply.
24/7 mega vaccination sites including Citi Field in Queens, Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, and Empire Outlets on Staten Island will remain on hold until the city gets more supply of the COVID vaccine, de Blasio said.
"We have a supply problem, and we urgently need more flexibility with the supply we have," he said.
So far, the city has administered 628,831 total doses and has 19,032 first doses remaining.
The city is expected to receive 107,825 vaccine resupply this week but will continue reschedule appointments, the mayor said.
